About the role

The principal responsibility of this role is to oversee the delivery of CapEx projects from cradle to grave, for customers across a number of sectors, but in particular some high profile clients in the food industry. This will involve quoting for projects and ensuring that profitability is maximised whilst maintaining good customer relations and compliance. The role also carries the responsibility of managing multi-discipline teams and negotiating and communicating across all levels within the business and with clients.

Key duties will include:

  • Customer quotations for new build and upgrade projects
  • Management and delivery of multiple projects
  • Supervision of design, procurement, installation and commissioning 
  • Budget control, timescales and health & safety
  • Client Liaison, change negotiation and satisfaction
  • Performance and relationship management of own team, client workers and contractors
  • Monitoring of project progress and reporting to senior management.

Location

This role is based out of offices near Bristol and will involve visits to client sites in the West region.

Profile

We are seeking a qualified mechanical engineer who is experienced with process pipework within the food industry. Suitable candidates will relish responsibility and enjoy an environment where hard work and success is recognised and rewarded. You will have high standards and a good eye for detail to ensure that health and safety requirements are met while delivering projects on time and on budget to high customer satisfaction.

Key requirements

  • Qualified with a degree/HND/HNC in mechanical engineering or similar
  • Knowledge and experience with hygiene process pipework
  • Able to manage projects throughout the full project life cycle
  • Commercially astute with good client relations skills
  • Experience with resource and contractor management
  • Competent general IT skills and familiar with MS Project
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD would be an advantage
